BALLOON MAN Documentary to Premiere On-Demand February 2, 2021, Engaging Virtual Series, ‘Beyond Balloon Man’ Available Now

The documentary film BALLOON MAN, set to premiere on-demand on February 2, 2021, today announced an engaging new virtual series, Beyond Balloon Man, which will explore important, and topical themes unearthed within its story. The series includes four engaging discussions releasing from January 18 through the film’s premiere.

Acquired by Gravitas Ventures from filmmaker Chantal Potter as her feature directorial debut, BALLOON MAN is an intimate portrait of the life, trials, and triumphs of Bill Costen, a former NFL athlete who learned how to navigate through the clouds as a hot-air balloon pilot. A beautiful accolade to her father, Potter’s BALLOON MAN paints a warm picture of the loves of Costen’s life; family, sport and history. From inspiration through meeting MLK Jr., to leveling the playing field with former NFL players, Bill Costen’s life has been nothing short of fascinating. After saying goodbye to a career on the turf, Costen took to the air, becoming the first African American Hot-Air Balloon Master Pilot in the world.

“Ballooning is very much a niche culture and at first glance, this film may only appeal to balloon enthusiasts,” said Potter, “However, my father is far more than just a pilot and he’s never shied away from the road less traveled. Beyond Balloon Man will offer audiences and experts, a space to discuss the many topics the film touches on – from life after being a professional athlete, to the important father and daughter dynamic – after all, this film is about so much more than just ballooning.”

The panel series will be available on ChantalPotter.com/BalloonMan leading up to the film’s release on February 2, 2021. For more information and the full series lineup, please see below:
