Ciara Announces Black-Owned Companies Selected to Receive Mentorship From Meta

R&B artist Ciara has just signed a new recording contract with her own entertainment company as she readies a release next month.

According to Billboard, the songstress has signed a new label deal with Republic Records and Uptown Records. The deal is a collaboration with her own boutique label, Beauty Marks Entertainment.

“I am thrilled to partner with Uptown/Republic Records through my own label imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment,” Ciara says in a written statement. “[Republic co-president] Wendy [Goldstein] and I have been in discussion to work together for some time and the enthusiasm that her and the entire team have expressed over this new project marks an exciting new chapter in my career. I am grateful to be able to continue my mission of making the world dance with a team I admire, who are at the forefront of empowering artists.”

Her first single from her latest label is a single named, Jump which features Coast Contra and it’s scheduled to be released on July 8 but can be available now for pre-order.

Before settling down with Denver Broncos quarterback, Russell Wilson and raising their family, she was a successful recording artist who has had four top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. Included in her discography are eight top 10 Hot 100 singles, including her No. 1 debut single Goodies featuring rapper Petey Pablo in 2004, “1, 2 Step” with Missy Elliott, “Oh” featuring Ludacris and “Love Sex Magic” featuring Justin Timberlake.

“In terms of our generation, Ciara is a G.O.A.T.,” says Saint Harraway, Republic Records/Uptown Records executive vp of A&R. “She’s inspired countless artists and continues to captivate audiences worldwide. It’s an honor to be able to work with her on this next season.”

Although it’s been years since we heard new music from Ciara, in the absence of recording new songs, Ciara has been busy making business moves and doing charitable work with her Super Bowl-winning husband.
