Following his two previous singles “High Note” and “Occupied”, Chicago’s Energe (pronounced “Energy”) delivers his new single “I Get It.”

The R&B/Rap hybrid track floats over a sparse track as Energe comes in and out of rapping while the songs call of “I get it, I get it” is a subtle refrain that is instantly hard to forget. The song speaks to Energe’s musical journey as he eschews hate and rather suggests to just “get it”:
“I hear you boys still living basic/hatin’, waitin’ for your chance/I’m takin’ it”
