Underage fans enter by letting the non-partisan group know what election they will be 18 for and why they’re excited to vote. Non-U.S. residents can also RSVP to #iVoted Festival 2022 by letting the 501(c)3 non-profit know which artist they’re most excited to check out.
“I’m so proud of our all-women C-Suite and young group of mentees that have been working tirelessly since January to make #iVoted Festival and the #iVoted Early Sweepstakes happen. We are eternally grateful to all of the artists for their time and commitment to increasing voter turnout,” says CEO and Founder Emily White.
#iVoted Festival launched its first webcast on election night 2020, creating the largest digital concert in history. M.I.T. has since analyzed the group’s work showing an increase of 7% in voter turnout, whereas historically “get out the vote” drives do so by 0.5-1%. The group credits this increase to their data-driven methods of booking artists per the data on the top trending Spotify and Instagram artists in key states whose electoral margins are often decided by the size of a venue.
ABOUT #iVOTED FESTIVAL
#iVoted Festival increases voter turnout by producing record-breaking webcasts and activating entertainment venues to let fans in who show a selfie from outside their polling place or at home with a blank and unmarked ballot. Young people in the U.S. are more likely to attend live music events (63% millennials) than vote (35.6% for 18-29). #iVoted bridges this gap by meeting potential voters where they are as a data-driven organization that books the top trending artists and talent in key states whose electoral margins are often decided by the size of a concert venue. With a majority BIPOC C-Suite of 100% women and overall team that’s 92% BIPOC, women, non-binary or LGBTQ+, #iVoted Festival is revolutionizing voter turnout while actively training and mentoring the next generation of activists and leaders.
