Kevin Liles to Deliver Keynote Interview at NY:LON Connect Music Business Summit

300 Entertainment’s Kevin Liles is slated to deliver a keynote interview at the 2020 NY:LON Connect music business summit, according to announcements made by The Music Business Association (Music Biz) and Music Ally.

Among the topics to be discussed will be how 300’s autonomous style has impacted the conventional label framework, and the ways that the company has aided the inspiration of the artists they work with.

Said Music Biz President, Portia Sabin: “Kevin is someone who we feel truly embraces our mission of pushing for collective growth across all facets of the business. His work establishing 300 Entertainment as a powerhouse, and the strong revenue streams he built while with Def Jam and WMG, showcase why he’s the perfect person to speak on this topic.”

Additional feature keynote interviews will be had with Spotify’s Cecilia Qvist, YouTube Music’s Sun Lee, Warner Music Group’s Scott Cohen, and Q&A’s Troy Carter.

To boot, Indian singer-songwriter, Prateek Kuhad, who seamlessly ascended to Spotify’s highest-streamed artist in the country, will be lending his voice. In a conversation he will have with his manager, Nicole Barsalona of Everyday Rebellion, Kuhad will discuss the opportunities and challenges that face up-and-coming artists with the global streaming market.

Karyn Temple from the U.S. Copyright Office and Abkco COO, Alisa Coleman, will discuss the Music Modernization Act, the process of its implementation, and its relationship to the global music industry.

The fourth annual NY:LON summit will be held on January 16 – 17, at New York’s Dream Downtown Hotel.
