Odell Beckham Jr. Won't Face Criminal Charges

Last month, recently signed Baltimore Ravens football player, Odell Beckham Jr. was accused of assaulting a woman when he allegedly grabbed her by the throat in Los Angeles. Prosecutors have determined that he will not be charged for the alleged assault.

According to TMZ, after conducting an investigation into the allegations against the Ravens player, prosecutors in Los Angeles will not pursue criminal charges after concluding that the victim’s accusation and video of the encounter do not match.

The investigation was started last month after a woman, who was never identified, alleged that Beckham placed his hand around her neck while the two of them were at Delilah, a popular restaurant in Los Angeles. Police officials stated that the woman claimed the 30-year-old approached her at the venue and grabbed her throat with light pressure.

Prosecutors said that surveillance video they obtained from the lounge “contradicts the complaining witness’ account of events. The video does not capture any battery.”

There was also no one else who could back up the accuser’s claims. Even stating that one of her friends, who was standing next to her when the alleged incident took place did not see an assault take place. From the onset, Beckham denied that the incident happened and even the restaurant’s owner, John Terzian, disputed her recollection of what took place.

The prosecutors stated that there was simply “insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Now that this case is over before it actually started, Beckham can concentrate on preparing for the upcoming NFL season. The new Baltimore Ravens wide receiver just signed a one-year, $18 million deal.

The agreement reportedly includes a $13.835 million signing bonus, a $1.165 million base salary, and $3 million in incentives.

Beckham last season off to recover from an ACL injury he suffered the prior season during Super Bowl LVI when he played with the Los Angeles Rams. Despite Beckham’s absence, the Rams won the championship game over the Cincinnati Bengals.

In his career, Beckham has made three Pro Bowls and has amassed five 1,000-yard seasons.

Who is BIG CED?

He’s this guy from the Bronx who when I first REALLY met him, he was working with my girl Michelle Murray at this Video company called “Classic Concepts”. He came down Howard University between 1989 and1991. Mark Pitts said “Kamal, this is my man Ced”. From that point on all I remember was that he kept talking and was a little hyped because by this point they were THE video makers at the time and he had his little tight Classic Concept jacket on lol. I never liked the jacket anyway, so I left the conversation lol.
Fast forward through the 90’s, whether it was the music industry, events that I did and he attended or vice versa, or events, parties, functions that I saw him at, he and I have become good friends. We ran in the same circles. He’s never at a loss for words, not one – EVER. Always has something comical to say. Genuinely a good brother!
In more recent years, he has established a good internet presence, he’s a talented marketer, a good connector of people, and still creates social concepts and events to keep the people engaged. Let’s not forget, he is still never at a loss for words, not one – EVER lol!
