What may seem like an extended hiatus from the music scene has been, in fact, a rather impressive expansion in the world of entertainment for singer/songwriter/producer and actor, Rob Murat. Since we last received a solo drop from Rob, he has been exercising his acting chops by going toe-to-toe with the likes of Academy Award winner, Halle Berry, on the CBS Series, Extant (http://www.imdb.com/video/demo_reel/vi93826841), and guest starring on the hit FOX series, Bones (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1989009/?ref_=ext_shr_eml_vi#lb-vi3432951833). In between acting roles, Rob has remained on the music radar by continually recording music for film, TV, and commercials. He has also been the narrating voice for major promo campaigns on ESPN and award shows on BET, OWN, and other networks.
Most importantly, Rob has never stopped writing, producing, and preparing for the right moment to reemerge with new solo material. And with his latest release, The End, Rob steps back into the music circle in rare form. He is at his best vocally declares the end of an old season and the beginning of brand new one in life and love. The song is written and produced by Rob. He calls upon a cast of talented musicians, most audibly the amazing Matthew Szemela on strings and solo violin to properly capture the intended emotion and soulful vibe of the song.
While becoming acclimated with rising acting star on TV and film sets, the world may have forgotten about Rob Murat’s prowess as a musician and recording artist. The End is a gentle reminder.
The end is now available everywhere! Stream, download, and share on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal, and everywhere else.
Note: With the release of the song, Rob also shared a surprise release of a lyric video for an unofficial mashup of the original version of The End with a snippet from Max Richter‘s “The Departure” which is a featured theme on the acclaimed HBO series, The Leftovers. https://youtu.be/GAUauTmwGaU
